October is... Black History Month

October sees the yearly celebration of Black History Month in the UK.
This year the focus is on the anniversary of the Slave Trade Act 1807, which officially abolished slavery in the UK.

To co-incide with this, there are displays in the LIC on slavery and a resource list is available with suggested website and books.
